Shinri's Lunchtime Concert, 23.11.05.

This is the last concert I gave on English soil. I was told that I was the first to play contemporary works at Saint Gregory's Centre. A church used by Canterbury Christ Church University for musical events and other. My dear friend Daniel Sayers, got me the gig, recorded and mixed it down, burned it on a CD and made me a cover... Ok so I added the sheep and "LIVE by Rugged Appointment"

This CD has proven over the years to be many people's favourite. I used to think it was because the quality of sound is not bad at all. I guess I have come to appreciate that my performance on 2 hours sleep and after having played "the removal van man" all night driving 2 soundsystems, 1 to the other side of London and the other with us (Cécile, Andy and moi) to Canterbury is quite a mystical performance. Dan & Emily did an aller-retour Canterbury-London too; picking up the equipment we needed to play with at Saint Gregory's...

We were all sleepy.
Very very sleepy.
Some clearly more sleepy than others.
Sleepiness transformed itself into a rhythmic trance
... and then I played.
