i wrote this song for Prof Granvile Hancox his association, "singing for life" I believe it is called. I think Andy and I passed by and gave him a copy. I'm not sure if he heard it. I've always wondered if the false note is what put him of... Don't forget! The album is called "unfinished business"
We got a girl in to play the harmonium, she had a son of about 10 and a baby. Sweet family but i forget their names!!! :-( SORRY! She came over to Andy's parents cottage, just outside Canterbury, where Andy and I had set up studio for a week or so. The funny thing is that the harmonium we mixed in is me showing the girl where in the song we wanted her to play. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, the takes we recorded of her were unusable.
lyrics
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wiser
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wider
I look into your eyes and its hits me hurts me child
Unnecessary hiding you are truly bright
Not because I say so what do you feel deep inside
Well then am I not right?!
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wiser
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wider
Why do we hide when we know what we like
How we want it how we feel it
Why are we so scared cuz it hurts but good
Rich food, you’re deluding yourself when you say that you’re hungry
The emptiness drives you insane
Baby you give yourself the pain
Then you complain the way is straight
You swim upstream a mountain glows and then it snows
You dream of me
Then you wake up you stop to feel
Baby please feel the ease
So peaceful
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wiser
Singing singing singing for life
Wisdom getting wider
